San Joaquin County
Tracy grew from a historic Central Valley rail junction town into a major Bay Area commuter suburb since the 1990s, leaving the city with an older rail-era core alongside much newer tract development.
Cheryl N., a Northeast Tracy, Tracy homeowner, had been living with a water bill that had crept up for two billing cycles with no clear reason for weeks before calling us. Tracy's historic rail-era downtown has plumbing considerably older than the newer commuter-suburb tract development built since the 1990s. The leak was marked in that same visit, and the repair crew only had to open a small section instead of the whole area.

A closer look at the areas across Tracy where we handle the most leak detection and repair calls:
Founded in 1878 as a Southern Pacific rail junction, the reason for the city's name.
A 2000s master-planned community on the city's west side, named for a historic local family.
One of the newer commuter-driven developments built since the 1990s Bay Area housing boom pushed buyers east.
A neighborhood bordering the separate, unincorporated master-planned community of Mountain House.
